Sports on a new level....

I hope you guys all had great weekend.
I spent my weekend hanging out with my two buddies {Had's & Pete}. Satarday, husband and I got to go on a date with just us two which doesn't happen that often so we took full advantage and went shopping, to dinner & the Jazz game. Of course, I had to get all geared up in Jazz gear and ask my husband to pick me out one of his Jazz attire. This is what I got which is a shirt on him and a dress on me.... this is how I made it work.

The game was great, going into overtime and the Jazz winning.
Go Jazz!

Again, I hope you guys all had a fun and exciting weekend. Here's to a new week!
Peace out

Where I have been...

These past two weeks I have been horrible at posting. However, its not that I have been out of the blogging world. This year I decided that my goal was to be completely up to date on my OTHER blog. I used to be so good at making sure I was documenting all of my little families life events. This blog has kind of taken over and my family one has been put on the back burner. So, if you what to see what we have been up to lately check it out... I am ALMOST all the way up to date.

Most fashion blogs are life style blogs as well. When I first started this I debated on combining the two but decided it was best for me and my little family to do them separate which I am so glad I did.  However, you are welcome to head on over and learn a little more about who we really are.

I promise next week I'll do better!

Thanks for reading.

Dreaming.....

Bottoms: Old Navy {love these} / Chambray Top: Target {similar}/ Sweater: F21 / Loafers: Steve Madden {LOVE these} / Watch: Michael Kors / Necklaces: Gift, f21

I find myself dreaming about what it was like when it wasn't below zero outside and snow wasn't everywhere. Let's hope I don't have to dream for much longer.

Also, have I mentioned how much I love chambray tops. They kind of made their comeback last spring. I am glad it has stuck around because I have been able to wear it all year round and will continue to! This one I found at Target I loved cause it wasn't like my other fitted one. It was more comfy and loose fitting. If you are going to buy two of the same types of shirts make sure they at least fit differently.

Happy Wednesday!
Love ya so much

Pinterest Loves

These last few weeks I feel like I am constantly on Pinterest mapping out my game plan for our new house {what did we do before we had Pinterest?} Anywho, I came across these lovelies and because I have been too busy with trying to catch up on my sleep and from being out of town I decided I would share what I would love to be dressed in instead of my sweats....

Men's Department.......

Remember when I went shopping in my husbands closet{if not HERE is the link}
This weeks challenge was kind of a spin off from that. I figured if I was successful finding some gems in my husbands closet then maybe I needed to open up my eyes to shopping in the men's department. Let's just say discovering the men's department may have just gotten me in trouble with our bank account.
At first I was a little hesitant, I decided I needed to start looking at clothing in a different way while shopping in this section. I started throwing stuff into my cart. When I went to the dressing room to try them on I was shocked at how cute a men's shirt could be. Not only that but you may notice that their sale rack has all the S/SX left. Perfect for women that wear a MED/LG, not to mention makes you feel great being that you get to pull a SX off the rack! I left the store with not one 1 gems....... but 5! ALL ON SALE.
Perfect right! I challenge you to just take a look, think outside the box and if you're feeling really crazy just try something on in that department. You may just be surprised at the new options you have now!
Jeans: ASOS / Tee: F21 / Button Up: Target {Men Section} / Shoes: Converse / Watch: Target / Bracelets: Banana Republic, F21 / Sunnies: F21 / Necklace: Boutique in NY

Pattern Mixing + Challenge.....

Pants: H&M / Button up: J.Crew{No longer online} / Blouse: Dillard {On Sale} / Shoes: Kohls {Similar} / Coat: Old Navy {Loving this one} / Necklace: H&M / Watch: Michael Kors / Sunnies: Steve Madden

Pattern mixing is probably one of my favorite things to do, its almost as if you were to close your eye and just pick out your outfit. I may of had one eye peeking when I picked out this outfit but ya get the point. It makes getting ready a lot easier if you are trying NOT to match.... give it a try.

This weeks challenge is....

Shop in the men section {for me, not my husband}

Bow Tie.....

Shirt: Old Navy / Jeans: American Eagle {not recent} / Scarf: Target {on sale in stores} /  Boots: Steve Madden / Watch: Target

This fancy, schmancy bow tie idea actually came form one of my readers Jordan, who blogs over at Opal & Violet {Check it out, you'll love her}. When she suggested it I was excited to give it a try being that I had never had seen it before. It took be a few tries to get it right but I loved the outcome. Different, which it the reason for my challenges. Thanks Jordan for the lovely idea!

Hope you guys have a wonderful & safe weekend! Thanks for following me along thought this weeks challenge.

Tube Scarf....

Sweats: Bershka / Top: Cotton On / Boots: UGG / Scarf: H&M {in stores, loving this} / Sunnies: H&M / Earrings: Old Navy / Bracelet: Gift

I actually thought that calling this a tube scarf was something that I just made up which happens a lot. I know there is "technical" names to a lot of trends but guess what... I call them what I want. Anyways, as I was doing this post I learned that another name for them are actually tube scarves.... what do ya know, I was right!
This is my typical Sunday attire after church. I come home and usually immediately throw on the sweats to have a lazy Sunday with the fam. This scarf was perfect to add to my comfy look.

Happy Wednesday!
Peace & Love
